Come and dine in Bohemian style to mark the start of Gozo’s opera season

La Boheme Dinner 3

The opera season kicks off Gozo’s cultural calendar in October and the footlights are ablaze for La Boheme at the Teatru Astra in Victoria.

On this occasion GuerrillaDining Malta has teamed up with Dar tal-Kaptan Host Family Bed and Breakfast to create an unforgettable Bohemian Meal on the 31st of October in a unique setting in Ghasri, a five minute drive from Victoria itself.

Finding a free table in a restaurant after the opera can be a headache, so Dar tal-Kaptan Boutique Maison will be swishing open its curtains and setting the stage for a post-opera meal following welcome drinks featuring a cocktail inspired by ‘Mimi’ the central protagonist in the libretto.

Consisting of 5 decadent courses and taking its cues from the bohemian manifesto of youth, beauty, freedom and love, the menu is a surprise and will be mailed to you a week before the event to whet your appetite and keep your taste buds on edge. (We accommodate for different dietary requirements).

For those who wish to make a weekend of it, Dar tal-Kaptan Boutique Maison is accepting bookings for its three individually themed suites. Contact us to book directly and benefit from a 10% discount. dartalkaptan@gmail.com

THE PRICE: 40 euros, includes five course meal with coffee and welcome drink. You may bring your own wine with you and we will charge a nominal fee for corkage. We will also have a selection of wines by the bottle to choose from.

BOOKING: The event is a one off. It is only open to the first 35 people who book and pay prior to the event. Booking is strictly upon payment which must be effected latest by Tuesday 27th October. You commit, we cook. Send an e-mail to dartalkaptan@gmail.com or guerrilladiningmalta@gmail.com to book.

THE CONCEPT behind Guerilla Dining:
An underground kitchen, a pop-up restaurant, or secret supper club, call us what you like, our objective is to keep you guessing and salivating. The formula is simple, this is just about divine food and location, location: each event we pull out a different venue, chef(s) and theme from our mad hatter’s hat.
For this event come alone, with a group of friends, or you may share a table with other opera lovers. Food brings people together. Forge new friendships and make invisible threads .
