Bridal Splendour at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Malta

Every girl’s dream is to find The dress to feel like a princess in on her wedding day.  I am sure that any girl would have easily found her perfect dress among the glittering masterpieces presented at the Anna Romysh fashion show presented by Weddingbells. This show formed part of The Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Malta’s offering on May 16th 2016 and presented the 2017 collection. Anna Romysh Haute Couture is the top brand in the Farage Fashion group.

The collection is made up of one-of-a-kind pieces, that have been meticulously designed and finished. Each dress is unique and the designs are created to flatter any type of silhouette. The choice of fabrics is sumptuous with plenty of lace detailing and embellishments which include Swarovski crystals to create a real sparkle.

I have a definite four that struck me, because of certain elements, be it the detailing, overall look, fabric or finish.

The third dress to grace the catwalk was a dramatic, if somewhat revealing halter neck creation.  What really stood out for me with this dress is the crochet-like lace fabric of the skirt.  Delicate circles create an intricate and contemporary look the ripples and flows beautifully over the body and along the floor on the train.

Another element I really fell in love with were the bell sleeves featured on a sleek silhouette in satin. There is something very feminine and ethereal about chiffon blowing in a gentle breeze. The perfect fairy tale wedding look.

Although the ball-gown isn’t one of my favourite silhouettes, this look really appealed to me for its blush pink cape-style veil. In fact, the cape seems to feature with many of the dresses in this collection. I am somewhat of a traditionalist and do like a beautiful lace-trimmed veil. However, I think this look is a lovely modern twist for those girls who aren’t up for so much tradition.  A modern-day fairy princess.

My ultimate favourite has to be what I call the classic Hollywood glam look. This dress with a very simple silhouette stands out in its simplicity. In the setting sun, the sparkle that came from its crystal embellishments was absolutely stunning.

One of the stand out elements of this collection for me is the overwhelming absence of the strapless silhouette we have been overrun with in recent years. It is so refreshing to see so many different shapes and design elements.

The floral arrangements for the Anna Romysh Show by Weddingbells were designed by Alistair Floral Design. Some really extraordinary bouquets were on show to compliment the dresses.
