Open call for an interdisciplinary production

€10,000 inclusive of VAT will be awarded to the chosen application.




The Maltese Presidency of the Council of the European Union in collaboration with the Malta International Arts Festival are announcing an open call for an interdisciplinary production (theatre, dance, music, new media) linking one or more of the themes of the Presidency: Migration, the Maritime Sector,  Security, the Single Market, European Neighbourhood and Social Inclusion.

The grant for the production will be €10,000 inclusive of VAT.

The production will be presented during the Malta International Arts Festival 2017.




Applicants should submit a brief description (1 page A4), names and biographies of leading artists involved, and a production budget by not later than 15th March, 2017. Late submissions will not be considered. An independent jury will select the production from the submissions by March 23rd, 2017.

Applications are to be placed in an envelope marked ‘MIAF + title’ in the application box at the Arts Council Malta, 16 Casa Scaglia, Mikiel Anton Vassalli Street, Valletta.
