In anticipation of the launch of their new EP Mannekind, I caught up with Simon Dounis from Canvas Wall to find out a little bit more about this band I’ve been hearing so much about.  So if you haven’t heard about them before, here’s your chance to find out just what’s behind the Canvas Wall.

AC: Who are Canvas Wall?

SD:  We are an energetic indie pop rock band made up of three friends from Malta (Simon, Craig and Dean), teamed up with our Italian friend Matteo. We are based in London with the aim of sharing our music in the UK, Malta and further afield.

AC: How would you describe your music? Who do you think it appeals to?

SD: We experiment within the Indie pop rock genre; our music is all about fresh, tight and upbeat, positive vibes. We love performing to new crowds and we’ve seen that the upbeat nature of our songs along with the messages that they speak have been received well by different audiences. We’re always up for a good time and connect well with those on the same wavelength!

AC: Why launch your EP in Malta before London where you are based?

SD: We are launching our EP at Funky Monkey on Manoel Island this Saturday the 24th. We wanted to launch in Malta first as this is our home and we are looking forward to sharing our work with family and friends first, while enjoying a nice little party while we are at it.

AC: What is the ultimate goal for Canvas Wall?

SD: Our ultimate goal is to be a self-sustainable touring band, sharing our music with the world, connecting with new people and having fun along the way.

If you want to find out more, follow for their latest news, tour dates, merchandise and music! To hear the band performing live, join them this Saturday 24th September at Funky Monkey in Manoel Island.
