Sean Gravina is the new face of De Cecco pasta in Malta

De Cecco pasta is the brand that is used by the most important restaurants and celebrity chefs worldwide.  From 1st July Malta’s own celebrity chef, Sean Gravina is officially the face of De Cecco in Malta.

This unique culinary partnership was officially launched at a press event last week held at Peperoncino Restaurant in Balluta Bay and was hosted by Benji Gatt from Vivian Corporation, the Official Distributors of De Cecco in Malta.

Sean highlighted the quality pasta beautifully through the 2 dishes that he prepared: Spaghetti alla Trapanese and Linguine with poached and pan fried octopus.

 

De Cecco, pasta has long been a firm favourite in both domestic and professional kitchens. From it’s birth in Abruzzo 129 years ago, one thing has never changed: the will to strengthen and protect the production principles of their Founder. De Cecco pasta boasts top quality wheat selection, the use of fresh flour from their own mill and the highest in quality assurance methodologies.

“Since my early days in the kitchen De Cecco alqays helped my dishes reach excellence”, says Sean, this young dynamic chef with a flair for the simple yet exciting.

Educated in Malta at ITS, Sean spread his wings abroad predominantly in the UK where he worked in the kitchens of chefs like Gordon Ramsey and Wolfgang Puk. Now hosting his own TV show in Malta, Sean will be sharing  some of his recipes with us via the new app Buon APPetito which can be downloaded from the Google Play store and iTunes store.
